This book was released at the most crucial time in my life; 2 weeks prior to buying this book I was diagnosed with a congenital neurological disorder and have asked so many of the questions this book addresses. This book is truly biblically and doctrinally sound and will give you rest for your soul in some of the darkest times in your life. God is good when He heals, and He is good when He doesn’t. He IS peace and gives us unexplainable hope!! I recite so many truths from this book to myself on a daily basis. - 5.0 out of 5 stars from Doug Peterson -- This book will heal you from the pain caused by the "healings" that the Prosperity Gospel promises : This book by Costi address is a significant issue in the body of Christ… namely with the charismatic /word of faith/ NAR teaching that is prevalent today. It is a teaching that is unbiblical because it doesn't give the full scope of the healing that we get through Christ which is healing in the resurrection. Unfortunately, I used to believe in this false teaching the charismatic/word of faith/ NAR promotes. The problem is, this is doing far more damage and causing more pain on the soul level. we start manipulating the word to mean what it says we want it to me input expectations God healing us for all diseases and sickness, when we know God does not heal everyone. He heals who he chooses according to his will and not ours. Uncovering this lie was instrumental in our life leaving deception and the heretical views that I believed. we had a close friend of ours who is very devout who unfortunately passed away of cancer... she prayed, her husband prayed, the whole church prayed, and this was shared by many people in the charismatic communities. Unfortunately, she passed away. But fortunately, she is with our Lord which is the ultimate healing she could have wanted. I also got extremely sick and was hospitalized, in my hospital room I was crying out asking God why aren't You healing me, I have enough faith. How can this be? This was the ultimate crack in the dam that broke my deception to this heretical teaching. The good news is I made it out of the hospital and the even greater news is I no longer am under this deception. To think that I could manipulate or strong-arm God, the creator of the universe the sustainer, giver and Redeemer of life to heal me because I demand it… The fact is whether God chooses to heal or chooses not to is his will. Costi does an excellent job explaining that point. it is freeing when we realize we can go to God in prayer, in God can and often does heal us of all of our infirmities but if he chooses not to that is OK also since he is God and I am not. one of the biggest problems as I said with this teaching is when I pray and I have Faith and I do everything I'm supposed to do and I don't get the healing I turned God into the bad guy when He is anything but. I hope and pray that everyone who reads this review and everyone who reads this book will get healing for their soul in case they are in this deception as well and that they will realize the God is so much more than the healer of our bodies, or our souls. but he is the ultimate healer and the fact “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
